A non-profit 501(c)3 organization, Shobu Aikido is dedicated to encouraging the practice of non-violent martial arts and promoting Aikido as a positive method for personal development and conflict resolution. Established in 1980, Shobu Aikido is dedicated to teaching excellence in traditional Aikido and martial arts.

Shobu Aikido of Boston has a number of affiliated dojo and is affiliated with Aikido Schools of Ueshiba under the direction of Mitsugi Saotome Shihan.
